Fixing the cowl drain is very easy if there isn’t any wire corrosion. You can lift your hood and have complete access to the drain. Use a flashlight to look for signs of standing water behind the cowl. Then clear out the water through the firewall drain, and you are done.
Blocked Air Conditioning Drain
Air conditioners cause condensation, and that’s why most modern cars come with air conditioning drains to help with drainage. The evaporator for the air conditioning handles all the moisture problems. It is connected to the firewall drains through which all the moisture gets released.
When the rubber evaporator on the side of the firewall blocks up with debris and causes the evaporator moisture to build up and overflow inside the car, there will be condensation when you have the A/C on drip under your vehicle.
If the vehicle is parked, you will be able to see the pool under the car, and if it’s clear, then there is no problem. However, if the puddle isn’t clear, you may have a different leak on the a/c drain. If there isn’t any liquid drip, then it might mean there is a clog, so make sure you check out the a/c drain.
Leaking Heating System
As time goes by, the coolant for the heating system degrades into a harmful liquid. It can turn acidic, and it will attack metal, rubber, and plastic components, breaking them down. Your car’s heater core is susceptible to damage, and it can be easily damaged by frost, corrosion, and plain-old wear and tear.
When that happens, the coolant delivery system behind the dashboard can leak, resulting in wet car floor mats. There are a few ways you can notice if you have a coolant leak or not:

If you want to check the sunroof drainage system, then all you need to do is pour a jug of water on the four corners of the sunroof and see if the water comes out quickly through the other end. If you see a blockage, then poke it through have the debris cleared up.
Windshield Seal Fault
Usually, the windshield of your car is bonded in with unique sealers. The seal can break down over the years or if your vehicle is exposed to extreme temperatures. Under normal circumstances, factory windshield setups don’t cause many problems.
Once the mat is removed, run a hose at the windshield pillar and leave it running until the leaks pop up. Ask someone to hold the hose while you get into the car and check for the leaks.
Use a flashlight and work your way up from the bottom to isolate the leak. Windshield leaks can be dangerous as it can lead into the kick panel area, so ensure you are thorough with your check-ups.
